In 2020 I started Rylanie’s with the simple goal of just wanting to feel better. During that year my husband and I tested positive for Covid. It was the most challenging and frightening experience of our lives. For most of those days as we battled the symptoms I often thought of wanting to see my mother and being comforted by her and of my grandmother. My grandmother made homemade soaps and I absolutely loved taking afternoon baths at her house during my summer visits. Her soap smelled so clean, refreshing and I felt so good afterward! Even when I didn’t feel well her soaps made me feel better and sleep easy. During my battle with Covid I longed to just have a bar of her soap to help me feel better. My grandmother passed away many years ago and although I never learned to make soap from her. I was determined to learn and hopefully make it as good as she did. Well I learned it from scratch and found that I was very good at it. My soap bars not only made a difference in my skin tone but made me feel sooo good just like my grandmas’ soaps! I mastered soap making in no time. I guess it was just in my genes! Thank you grandma!
