Im Angie Harris, the founder of Rylanie’s, and I believe that everyone deserves beautiful skin and the confidence that comes with it! Our journey began in 2020 during one of the most challenging times of my life when both my husband and I tested positive for Covid-19. It was a frightening experience filled with uncertainty and worry, but amid the struggle, I found inspiration and comfort in cherished memories of my grandmother.

Growing up, my grandmother created homemade soap that filled her home with the comforting scent of cleanliness and freshness. I fondly remember a summer visit and taking relaxing afternoon baths using her soap which always left me feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. Even when I wasn’t feeling well, her soap had a way of lifting my spirits and helping me sleep soundly.

During my battle with COVID, I longed for that same comforting experience. I had missed her homemade soaps and wished I had one to ease my discomfort. Though my grandmother passed away many years ago, her legacy inspired me to learn the art of soap-making. Determined to replicate her craft, I started from scratch and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was quite good at it! It felt as if it was in my genes.

With each soap bar I made, not only did I notice a positive change in my skin, but I also felt better, slept well and developed a deep sense of joy and nostalgia similar to the warmth of my grandmother’s presence. It was a beautiful way to honor her memory while fulfilling my desire to share the goodness of homemade soaps.
